Entry for GMTK Game Jam 2021. Made by two people (That's us!) for their first game jam. All assets were custom-made during the jam. It is a game based on our bonded pair of dogs who are inseparable. You must switch between the two dogs (by pressing E) in order to solve the puzzle to get to the exit door. The dogs cannot stray too far from each other or else they will get scared and must go back. Darkness and light can help or hurt their bravery.

This is a cool game! It gives me a little bit of eerie vibes, idk if that's on purpose, but you definitely could have leaned into it further. If I hadn't seen the end game art in the thumbnail then I would have thought it was going to be something creepy/scary when it panned down at the end.
But that's really cute that it's about you two! Maybe I'm totally off about the horror stuff idk.
The asymmetry between the dogs is cool, although I only noticed it in the last level, the use of lights is really cool, the levels are short and sharp. Interesting game!
Thank you so much! The eerie vibes weren't super intentional, I think a lot of it was that I wanted to use only assets we made during the jam which meant that I didn't really have time to figure out music. I think that music definitely would have helped with the vibe. I like the idea of them escaping a creepy warehouse though too.
